Hello beauty! Before booking an appointment here are some things you should know. Please read through our policies and procedures in its entirety prior to booking. Thank you.
Location:
- Phenix Salon Suites Suite 255 Union, NJ 07083 (free on site parking is available)
- The A Lifestyle Salon is on apple maps (1235 West Chestnut Street, Union NJ 07083)
- The salon suite address and further details will also be included in your appointment confirmation.
- No extra guests or children allowed in the suite unless waiting to be serviced.
Hours of Operation:
- Wednesday-Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm (first and third week of the month)
- Tuesday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm (second and fourth week of the month)
- Our services are by appointment only-we take our last client at 4:00pm and our last color and extension client at 3:00pm.
- There is a 15 minute grace period, if you are running late please call or text the salon: 201.479.0302 prior to your appointment.
- Clients arriving after the 15 minute grace period can result to a cancelled appointment, please try your best to be on time.
- We will do our best to make any accommodations the day of your appointment if our schedule permits.
- We strive to respect our clients appointment time so if we are running behind schedule we will let you know prior to your appointment and honor any accommodations.
Deposits:
- Deposits are required at the time of booking for selected services.
- Deposits will be credited towards your total balance and are non-refundable/ non- transferrable. If you cancel your appointment the deposit is forfeited. If you decide that you no longer want a chemical service or hair extensions and paid a deposit you cannot transfer it to another service. (Non-transferable deposits)
- You may reschedule the same service within 48hrs of your scheduled appointment and the deposit will be applied to that appointment only.
Booking:
- If you happen to book for the wrong service please contact us directly at 201.479.0302 or info@thealifestyle.com within 24-48hrs of confirmed appointment to make the necessary adjustments.
- If you are interested in an add on such as a (hair cut, hair treatment, hair wrap, pin curls) you will have the opportunity to do so during booking.
- Please make sure to book for the correct service and add ons, if you have any questions of our service menu please contact us.
- Add ons during the service will not be accepted in order to accommodate all clients in our schedule. Please note that each service has an allotted time frame.
- Please note for all color transformation and extensions install you must add on styling to the appointment such as (blow out, silk press, curly styling, and hair cuts). They are not included in the service and pricing. Final quotes on those services are discussed during the consultation.
Confirmations:
- For your scheduled appointment, you will receive an email confirming your appointment date and time.
- You will also receive a text reminder prior to your appointment.
- Please do make sure your contact information is up to date and correct to receive those notifications. Same day cancellations or no show appointments does result to a fee.
Cancellations:
- If you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment you may do so on your confirmation email. You are allowed up to 3 consecutive reschedules, over 3 will result to a cancelled appointment and will no longer be able to request any services.
- You may change or cancel your appointment within 48 hrs of your scheduled appointment date/time by clicking on the link (Change/Cancel Appointment) in your confirmation email. (For example: if your appointment is at Wednesday, 10:00am you could cancel or reschedule by Monday 9:59am via the scheduling site).
- Same day cancellations, 24hr cancellations, and no shows will result to a 50% cancellation fee of your total scheduled service.
- No show clients without paying the associated fees will be banned and will no longer be able to request any services at The A Lifestyle Salon.
- The cancellation fee is to be paid prior to rescheduling your appointment and will be charged to the card on file.
- Please note Terms & Conditions are presented prior to booking a service.
Consultations:
- New client color/ chemical and extensions do require an in person 15 minute consultation. If you are interested in booking the service please be prepared to pay a minimum of $50.00 non-refundable/ non-transferrable deposit at the time of your consultation. After the fee is paid you will be scheduled for your service.
- New client color and chemical service for (color correction, hi-lights, balayage, double process, relaxer, perm and keratin treatments) will require an in person consultation.
- New client extensions for ( i- tip/ individual micro links, tape ins, and volume weft micro links/ braid-less sew in ) will require an in person consultation.
- New client color and extensions same day service does require a minimum of $100.00 non-refundable/ non-transferrable deposit.
- We only work with high quality 100% natural hair extensions. We will provide you with hair options that match your color and hair texture.
- If you would like to provide your own hair please plan to bring it to your consultation as it will be analyzed for its quality and integrity, low quality hair will not have the same results.
Curly Cut Transformations:
- The client hair must be clean, detangled and with minimal to no product. Please no gels, heavy creams, oils in your hair. We recommend washing 24hrs prior to ensure your hair is in its natural state.
- Your hair must be in its most natural state to be cut in its desired shape.
- Your hair will first be dry cut in a pre-shape, then shampooed, re cut while wet, then finished touches while it is fully dry.
- Clients must arrive with their hair prepped to ensure the best results possible.
Cancellation List:
- If you do not see any available appointments our calendar is fully committed/ booked.
- If you would like to be placed on the cancellation list, please email: info@thealifestyle.com or text 201.479.0302 with your name, phone number, preferred date, time, service and availability.
- You will be contacted via email or text when a cancellation occurs. If any of my clients that are on the cancellation list cannot commit to the date/time of when the cancellation occurs we will post our availability via instagram. ( @the.alifestyle) Please put on your post notifications if you would like to be alerted when availability is posted. A link will be provided with the calendar and it is first come first booking.
Payments:
- At this time we will be accepting all forms of payment. We do accept debit/credit: Visa, Master Card, Discover and AMEX, and all contactless payments such as apple pay, virtual cards and zelle. All cash payments must be exact amount as we do not own a cash register, thank you in advance.
- Please note that we cannot add tip to the service. All appreciated tips can be sent via apple pay, zelle, venmo, cash app or cash. We thank you in advance.
